PCS programmers and engineers Tim Zarkovacki, Bill Fraedrich, and Jay Holliday have attended several SQL Saturday Sessions throughout the summer. The sessions they attended are Practical Self-Service BI with PowerPivot for Excel and Pre-Con: Reporting Services: From Rookie to Rockstar in a Day.
The session, Practical Self-Service BI with PowerPivot for Excel, taught participants how to use PowerPivot for Excel to deliver self- service business intelligence. They were able to become familiar with assembling data, accessing and relating data, employing Data Analysis Expressions (DA X) Language, constructing and sharing PowerPivot applications that support analysis and reporting.
The most recent session, Pre-Con: Reporting Services: From Rookie to Rockstar in a Day, a workshop geared for reporting services, taught the participants how to use the development tools effectively, how to present and enhance data in a report, and how to create dynamic reports.
These sessions are very beneficial for our team members to become familiar with changing and new technologies. Great work!
