High School STEM Learning Experience
We are planning a unique two-week learning experience this summer designed to help four high school students that are working towards entering a technology oriented college degree program. This program will also fulfill the field experience portion of the Ohio STEM Honors Diploma requirements if you are pursing this. During these two weeks, the selected students will be working as members of an engineering team under the direction of our college intern. Your team’s assignment will be technology-oriented. We’ve seen great success in IoT projects because of the wide range of exposure in development, networking and hardware. We plan to focus our efforts here.
This is a great opportunity to learn some new skills and potentially fulfill the STEM Honors Diploma requirement. This could also be the extracurricular activity on your college application that helps you stand out from the crowd. We only have room for four high school students preferably going into their senior year. If you are interested we want to hear from you; please fill out our application form. The program will run from July 8th – 19th, Mon – Fri from 8:30 – 4:30 at our downtown Wadsworth facility at 150 Main St.
This program is sponsored by Palitto Consulting Services, a technology consulting company. We specialize in helping businesses make better use of technology and this summer we want to help students in our community learn to make better use of technology too. (If you want to learn more about last year’s internship, including testimonials from our interns, check out our article.)
If you’d like to know more about this program, you can see the related college internship description that explains how the college intern will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the STEM Honors Diploma Program described above.
